Error for COM routine using application program (return code 40,301)

Hi Gurus,

 

One of our business users is getting COM routine error (return code 40,301).

  • When she is trying to load a bunch of materials in the Planning book this popup comes up.
  • This issue is specific to single user. I tried to open same selections, didn't get any issue.
  • we created a test user id with same authorizations as her and checked, still no issues.

 

I checked, this is error usually comes up when there is any KF with negative value available in the planning book.

But, here that is not the case bacause I am not getting any issues.

 

Questions:

 

1. I s there a way to find the root cause ?

2. Can it be a system (PC) issues ?

 

Please help, its a long pending issue now.

Can we transport only Data view

Hi guys,

 

 

This is little urgent.

 

Can I transport only a data view, if yes could anyone please tell me how to do it.

 

We already have the dataview and underlying macros int he production, for soem reason we need to transport the definition of the dataview, can we transport just the dataview and not the macros in the dataview.

 

Out of all the following objects:  transport dataview, planning book, time buckets profile, macros.

 

What all objects needs to be transported?

Missing forecast tab in /n/sapapo/rrp3

Hi experts,

In the product view (TC - /n/sapapo/rrp3) the forecast tab itself is missing.

 

As per my understanding Proposed strategy has to be maintained for updating Forecast tab which is missing for selected material.

 

When I checked Strategy Group field on R3 side,  it was maintained as 40.

 

But it was not CIFing across to APO.

 

Please give your suggestions on the same.

SAP APO CIF QUEUE Debugging

Hi Experts,

 

I have a issue with CIF, PO queues are getting stuck with the error message "Application log could not be written".

could anyone please guide me on how to debug CIF queue and we have a user exit which has one committ statements, SAP has mentioned this issue is because of the committ statements.

please help me resolve the issue.

Disaggregation based on another Key figure

I have a query. We have keyfigures "Stat Forecast T/D" & "Revised Budget" both are disaggregating based on
another key figure 'Customer planner forecast'.

The value in the 'Customer planner forecast' is '0' in Planning book for week 26.2016.

But the value for 'Stat Forecast T/D  and "Revised Budget" showing
incorrect value. The KF values for Stat and Revised Budg are maintained at brand/channel level while Customer planner forecast at SKU/Customer level.

Can anyone tell me how disaggregation takes place when the
value is zero in disaggregation key figure ie in our case 'Customer planner forecast' and the bigger problem is why it can be for only one particular week (i.e 26.2016).

I have also checked data backups and there is no value in "Customer Planner forecast" meaning that nobody has manually changed it recently.

Macro Logci

HI,

 

I am attempting to write a simple macro where based on certain characteristic values , we check the a certain KF(A) and if  this greater than another KF ( B) then the value of KF(A) should be copied over as that of KF( B) only for the current month.

 

I have written this amcro and there are no errors - however cannot execute this- can someone advise the best way of getting this to work?

CTM-Aggregated Planning for AFS scenario

Hi All,

Below is the scenario

I have one header (FG1) and many sublevel(FG1B,FG1L,FG1K) .The scenario I am talking is related to AFS.

 

I can see my hierarchy correctly in transaction- Maintain hierarchy for  location product.

In CTM Under aggregation I used below setting.

Planning Level: Header Level

Hierarchies

Location Product:assigned above hierarchiy.

 

I created demand for sublevel FG1B,FG1L and FG1K.

When I use demand simulation it is not showing any demand at header level.Expectation is it should aggregate demand from lower level to header level and plan accordingly.

 

I am not able to understand what I am missing.

Need help in resolving this.

Stopping of CIF queues during CTM planning run

Hi Team,

 

We are planning to run the CTM and it will take 3 - 4 hours and as other stuffs are interlinked which is consuming stock transfer

requisitions and those STRs are considered in CTM planning, can you please suggest us stopping of CIF queues, even though if we stopped CIF

queues, it will have major impact on business run during that period as business will not able to create STO and for that delivery will not

take place.

 

Can you please suggest on this.

on single resource we are doing multiple operation .suppose to make my product X i need to have multiple operation 10  ,20 ,30  ,40  .these all operation are performed on single resource . does i can use pool capacity in sap ecc and same can map in apo

I am just start career in SAP-APO. Before I have exp in MM.I wanted to know best way to learn APO processes.

I have search lots on net,forums etc but not finding easy way.

someone advise me to go for Service market place but this is not right way because i cant do certification.

also folks suggest me to do HANA- IBP instead APO.

 

Need valuable suggestion.

planned order range

Dear Experts

 

 

 

when  i  am generating planned order from apo it is not matching with my current number .

In T-code : /n/SAPAPO/RRPC1 and it is also not matching from ECC number range OMI3 or OMI2 .

is there any other setting to mantain number range in APO.

Hello All:

 

During the CIF process of a PPDS PDS I do get the following as an informational error while using the CURTO_CREATE transaction ?

When I display the PDS in APO using /sapapo/curto_create in APO I see that the components are appearing twice one under setup activity and one

 

under the produce activity.

I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue ? Is this a master data / CIF issue ?

SAP - IT Evolution

What I am writing is a short story of evolution of IT. After watching Pitchers I decided to quit my job as Demand Planner and start something on my own. As as planner I was always fascinated with Market Research and Data Analysis. And after spending half my life in SAP APO, that what I wanted to do.

 

Yes I was finally starting a company of my own. I wanted to use the best available systems and tools to build a smart company. Had I been in mid 1990's or early 2000's this dream would have remained nothing but a dream. Coz then it was only the  MNCs that were allowed to grow. They had the money power to purchase the latest IT technologies to manage the large and complex processes and churn huge data volumes. The MNCs needed a faster and highly responsive ERP system to manage the ever changing markets. To cater to these needs SAP came up with ERP and APS systems.

 

Though the big companies managed to stay afloat in the ever changing times the SMB sector began to collapse. They did not have money power to purchase the systems at one go and pay for the implementation and support. Thats when SAP came up with solutions specific for the SMB sector. SMB sector began blooming again.

 

It was now the turn of Small industries and startups. The era has now begun with evolution of "CLOUD". All of the SAP systems are now HANA compatible and pretty much available on CLOUD. No longer do I have to pay for the maintenance or upgrade. All I have to pay for is the number of hours that I use the APO and ERP system on cloud for data analysis. How beautiful is that.


I am going to make full use of this CLOUD platform. Wont you?

 

IF YOU ARE A CONSULTANT PLEASE READ

 

The role of consultant will change. He will no longer go to client location for implementation

1. SAP will give him all the specs for ECC and APO configurations

2. Onsites will reduce

3. Process and SCM consulting will increase to help businesses use the standard SAP solutions effectively

4. ECC and APO implementations will increase

5. Implementations would be faster

6. Basis activites will move to SAP.

7. Freelancing would be the right move for any consultant. There will be abundant implementations.

 

These are just my thoughts......I am just thinking how things would move 10 years down the line. May be the scenario would be different than what I have penned down. Time will tell.

Planning Book Grids in DP

Hi,

 

I have a standard planning book / data view created in DP. However I want to activate a second grid so I can organise the key figures of one data view in 2 grids - does anyone know how I activate this?

 

I thought it was in the planning book settings by activating the "Table 2" on the dataview tab. Although this checkbox is always greyed out...

Data disappeared from active version 000

Hi,

 

In APO there was some LC inconsistency with active version 000 and when I tried to "correct inconsistency" from OM17 transaction, it corrected it but all transaction data went missing from the active version.

 

Can you tell me how I can restore the transaction data in version 000?

Release Of Consumed Forecast At The Time Of Sales Order Deletion / Cancellation

Dear All,

 

My query is as follows :

 

We released the forecast for an item say 1000 Nos for a particular location for the month of August - 2015. We are using Consumption mode as "1" and backward consumption period as 999 and forward consumption period as 0.

 

On 03-AUG-2015, Sales order for 100 Nos got booked and got despatched. On viewing the Planning book, pending forecasted qty was 900.

 

On 05-AUG-2015, another sales order for 200 Nos got booked. At this time, pending foecast qty. was 700 Nos.

 

on 06-AUG-2015, this sales order got cancelled, at this junction, when we saw the planning book, 700 Nos is being shown in the forecast qty. key field.

 

Where as, if we see details of this forecast qty,. this qty. of 200 Nos is being shown in the " Original Quantity " Column.

 

Now, my question is that how to revive this 200 Nos....?  i.e. we shall like to have this 200 Nos added into the balance forecast qty (which is logically true).

 

Please ADVISE how this can be achieved.
